Noise vs Signal: What do you listen to?

I’d be interested in knowing whether people around the planet are experiencing a big uptick in their dream life. I know I am. The night hours have turned into a swirl of memories, images, stories (amazingly well crafted!), and a sort of restless wandering through life present and past.

Waking up, I want to DO something. Not always sure what the right course is. Sometimes it’s work ahead for the day. Lately, it’s more. I feel a grand surge in global aspirations, a growing sense of positive possibility. The human race, I believe, is waking up.

Navigating the shoals of dark and light is the challenge now. It’s not an easy voyage. Occasionally the beacons dim, the signal goes silent, the voices of confusion get very loud.

What do we listen to, and where do we look for inspiration and guidance? The compass lies within but reminders help. When feeling a bit lost, we can search for signals that matter.

Here are my reminders:

See Beacons Everywhere. People across every part of the globe are igniting individually. A kind of brightness exudes from so many who have found their voice. Their thoughts really are ‘thoughtful.’ They give intention to life. They share sincerely.

Know Entanglement is Real. The age of energy and quantum reality is here. Entanglement is not just a concept in a physics laboratory; the connection between each other, Nature, and a worldwide web of thought is the new reality. The goal now is to harmonize the network by accepting the new world.

Keep Questioning. Self-analysis of the collective is not easy, but that’s what happening. We’re learning by posing every question possible about life, even the annoying ones. It’s like a collective purge of all thoughts generated by the human race and kept secret from the public. But the deep visibility has a purpose: No growth without proper reflection. Over time, consensus will emerge.

Honor the Heart. The heart is undergoing a renaissance as empathy, kindness, appreciation, cultural humility, embrace, tolerance, and the deep human need for acknowledgment and connection become central to the future. This is a throwback, by the way, to a long ago belief that the heart is the seat of intelligence. We’re rebalancing.

Promote Love Over Fear. To me, love versus fear is the central dynamic of our times and the true test by which we should judge our progress. Love takes many forms but the greeting card variety won’t do it. I look at love in quantum terms. It’s an energy that resonates and impacts each other. If you can visualize love as an energy, it’s a small step to imagining the laser power of unconditional love.

Believe Everyone is Doing the Best They Can. I don’t believe in ‘evil’; I do believe in ‘misguided ignorance.’ That’s way of saying it’s possible to disagree, oppose, or stand up with others without making them less than human. In the current state of mass confusion, rapid change, uncertainty, and fear, inevitably the entire spectrum of human behavior will emerge. It has. It’s not pretty. It’s just a phase.

Embrace Change as a Grand Adventure. Speaking of change, humanity is going somewhere. I have ideas of the destination but so do you. So does everyone else. For some it’s a shining city on a hill; for others, it’s a dark tunnel. Maybe rather than predicting the ending and waiting for the credits, it’s better to engage without knowing the final result. It’s been a long journey already; I doubt that it’s over.

Give Ourselves Some Credit. Can you imagine an organization with 8 billion employees of all ages, cultures, persuasions, talents, aspirations, home lives, and minds? No, I can’t either. But that’s where we live. So, the product isn’t bad considering the employee pool. Look at the beauty created. It’s an evolutionary miracle.

Offer Freedom to Everyone. This is similar to love vs. fear because the freedom to ‘be’ whomever you wish to be, without reprisal, judgment, theocratic mandates, or societal limitations on your gifts and aspirations, is the definition of unconditional love. In my view, every system of oppression will be dismantled. The keynote of the age is freedom.

Act ‘As If’ the End is not Near. I get the problems and challenges. War, disruption, and the climate emergency invade my dreams. But love, freedom, innovation, resiliency, hope, connection, and the beacons of light everywhere should inspire us to coalesce around the prospect of an awakened, refreshed humanity. Darkness will end. The next stage may be fabulous.
